SHSKY is cosponsoring a concert by the Lexington Chorale which will take place at 2d Presbyterian Church on April 24 at 5 pm. Masks will be optional and parking is free. Enter from Ransom Street or by the handicap entrance at the rear on Vine Street. Tickets are normally $22, but the Lexington Chorale is offering a group rate to our members of $16. For members who volunteer to help there will be no charge. Please let me know if you would like to do this. Also, please wear the traditional costume if you have one. Here is a description of the final concert of their season celebrating the 30th anniversary of the group. “For our upcoming and final concert of the season, A World of Music, we will celebrate our love of international contemporary choral music primarily from Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia, Sweden, Hungary and Brazil. Renowned percussionist Anders Astrand from Stockholm, Sweden will be our special musical guest. Members of the Scandinavian Heritage Society of Kentucky will join us to highlight the international flavor of the evening. Please gather with us as we turn our voices to express unity and support peace for our precious world." You will not want to miss hearing the outstanding Lexington Chorale and gifted Anders Astrand.
